Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on Wednesday that Tesla’s recent factory might be arrange in either the state of Nuevo Leon or Hidalgo, Reuters reported. When asked concerning the specific plans of the American company, he emphasized that each states are a possible location, not a settled issue. As of now, Tesla has not made a press release on the matter, but Mexican officials have repeatedly commented on the corporate’s possible settlement within the country.
Mexican presidential spokesman Jesús Ramirez said in January that Tesla was considering establishing an assembly plant near the brand new Mexico City airport. Meanwhile, officials from Nuevo Leon repeatedly hinted last yr that the manufacturer intends to settle of their state.
